Balance and Coexistence

Today my attention is on the environmental crisis. My photographs examine how we actually live with the natural world, not how we like to imagine we do. Many of them refuse the easy beauty of familiar genres such as landscape photography; my portraits, too, are not studies of character but mirrors of an underlying imbalance.

I am convinced that diversity, once laid bare, brings a hidden beauty and meaning to the surface, and a clearer understanding of our interconnected, often dysfunctional coexistence.
